i guess i kinda saw this coming. no fandom can be a happy little family forever. i just wonder now if anyone’s secretly wanted me to fuck off too.

Steps to building a ridiculously powerful Skell!
1. Find that one Reddit thread about making a Mastema White Reaper that surpasses the Ares 90.
2. Follow its steps to make the Mastema, Amdusias, and EM Zenith cannon.
3. Get overconfident and challenge a superboss.
4. Get your ass kicked.
5. Swear vengeance and begin farming for augment materials.
6. Discover the wonders of Meredith’s version of the M-Missile.
7. Go nuts blasting off random enemy appendages. End up picking up some weapons whose built-in attributes complement your Mastema’s stats.
8. Become obsessed with obtaining the best possible weapons and augments for stat boosts.
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for half a week or so.
10. Holy shit, when did my Skell get this absurdly OP? All I wanted was to kill Nardacyon…
gonna have to keep this in mind but i’m not a fan of skells that aren’t light type is the only problem
my build uses weapons and skell wear with evasion buffs + an evasion-increasing shield. as long as i remember to maintain the shield, practically nothing hits me. and destroying appendages with the m-missile refuels you from near-empty to a full 20k in just a couple minutes. it’s incredible.
also idk about any of the drama beyond what i’ve heard on skype, but apparently there’s some complaints that people who don’t/can’t use the discord chat are being left out? and i agree. i don’t feel comfortable in enormous group chats, and i’ve had some minor disagreements and altercations with some of the xcxdiscord regulars that make me especially unwilling to go back there. i’ve been able to kind of stay in the loop via the dirty confessions blog and my group chat on skype, but overall i’ve been feeling very left out. it’s why i took kind of a hiatus from the fandom over the past few months. like, nobody’s obligated to use communication platforms they dislike or talk to people they don’t really want to, but i do wish people outside of the discord could be more included without us needing to go outside our comfort zones, yeah?
