IT’S OCTOBER…… IT’S TIME…………… FOR HER TO SHINE……………………. LIKE THIS POST TO SUPPORT HER, REBLOG TO LET HER HAUNT YOUR FRONT YARD

when I started the game I thought “I’m gonna end up spending all my pokemoney on cute clothes aren’t I?”
I was right
People always like to point out that ever since Arceus it’s been technically possible to trap the god of all creation inside a tiny 3 inch diameter ball and force it to battle random forest creatures using the powers that govern the entire universe with a dumb name like Mr. Flappy.
tbh I always thought it was pretty arbitrary from Arceus’ perspective tho. Like, this being has existed since the dawn of time, it will not only outlive you but your lifespan would be like the blink of an eye to such an old, old creature. I bet Arceus enjoys itself during the time honestly.
Like, I know the myths surrounding the thing are very Judeo-Christian, but I’m kinda reminded of the Greek gods who would every so often get bored, come down from on high and find a particularly attractive mortal human to, uh, bone and have a child with, but of course Arceus is far less deplorable. Like, every so often it’ll get bored up on Spear Pillar and will heed the call sent out by a human child, if the child proves strong willed enough, it will become a partner to them, bonding over the next 70-90 years and once the child passes on, return to its position with a newfound wisdom and understanding of the world and its own creation.
Or the child shoves it in a PC Box and Arceus just takes a much needed nap for that amount of time, like you really think it’s that much of a burden? It ain’t that cynical my guy.
In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire when the language is set to French, before battle Brawly says, “J’ai découvert le secret de la vraie puissance en fixant un Nautile pendant des jours et des jours…” (“I discovered the secret to true power by staring at a Helix [Fossil] for days and days…”), a reference to Twitch Plays Pokémon.

@clemontic brought it to my attention that Luxray’s Japanese name, Rentorar comes from the Japanese word for tiger, Tora. So, after drawing these guys as lions for years, I thought I’d take a more tigery approach!
