Theory: the reason none of the characters in the Death Stranding teasers have had names revealed is that the actors are actually playing themselves.

The story is about the actual Norman Reedus and the actual Guillermo del Toro being hunted through the ruins of post-necropocalypse Earth by the actual Mads Mikkelsen.

The final boss is Hideo Kojima.

I made this post a year ago and I’d just like to note that nothing that’s been revealed about the game since then actually refutes it.
